I’m a photographer and visual artist based in Helsinki, Finland. I studied filmmaking at BFM (Tallinn University) in Tallinn, but soon settled into still photography as my primary craft and artform.

Photography is a kind of alchemy, which captures the ephemeral light of a moment to create an image that exists in a realm that is neither fully real nor entirely fabricated. I am drawn to exploring the inexpressible and the unsayable aspects of the human condition that language often struggles to capture directly, and I have found in photography an artform where this is inherent to the medium, if I can wield it well.

For my artistic work, I like to shoot on 35mm film, mostly in black & white. I develop and print all my own work in the darkroom.
